Koko’s father-in-law laid to rest

Dhaka: Engineer MH Hasan Raja, father-in-law of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s late younger son Arafat Rahman Koko, was laid to eternal rest on Sunday.
He was buried at Banani Graveyard following his namaz-e-janaza at Banani DOHS Mosque after Zohr prayers.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Abdul Moyeen Khan, vice chairman AZM Zahid Hossain, senior vice chairman Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, and other leaders and activists of the party and its associate bodies and the relatives of the deceased attended the janaza.
Raja who had long been suffering from liver diseases died at United Hospital on Saturday at the age of 73.
Raja’s daughter and Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman along with her two daughters returned home on Saturday night from London to bid him final farewell.
His qulkhawani will be held at Banani DOHS community centre after Asr prayers on Friday, said the BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
