Dhaka: Bishwo Shahitto Kendro founder Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, who got his right hip fractured in an accident, will need to undergo a surgery.

“Doctors have found sir’s right hip fractured. The damaged one will be replaced through a surgery in a day or two depending on his physical conditions,” Deputy Team Leader (Programme) of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Sumon told news agency UNB on Sunday.

The renowned educationist is currently undergoing treatment at Samorita Hospital in the capital.

Prof Sayeed slipped from a road divider while crossing CR Dutta Road in front of Banglavision office at about 7:30 pm on Saturday.
