Father turns sons to police for ‘involvement in militancy’
Dhaka: A father took a tough decision as he handed his two young sons over to Kafrul Police Station in the city on Saturday for their alleged involvement in militant activities.
Assistant sub-inspector of the police station Rokonuzzaman told UNB that Alamgir Hossain, a resident of East Kazipara, took his two sons -- Din Islam alias Delu, 25, and Salman Sajid, 22, -- to the police station around 6:30 pm and turned them to police as the siblings were said to be involved in militant activities.
Local MP Kamal Ahmed Majumder was present at the police station, said SI Rokonuzzaman, adding that they will take next steps after an investigation into the allegation, he said.
