Rajshahi: A prisoner died in the prison cell of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Thursday morning.

The deceased was Imdadul, 26, son of Nayon Ali, resident of Dhononjoypara village of Lalpur upazila in Natore. He was accused in a drug case, reports news agency UNB.

Jahangir Alam, deputy jailer of Rajshahi Central Jail, said that Imdadul was shifted to the jail from Natore on April 9.

Later, he was admitted to the prison cell as he had been suffering from respiratory problems, where he died at about 11:00am.
