Shougat Nazbin Forbes' under-30 Asian change maker from Bangladesh
Dhaka: Prominent global magazine Forbes has featured Bangladeshi young woman Shougat Nazbin Khan as one of the 30 young pioneer women below age of 30 who are leading change in Asia.
Nazbin, a 27-year-old woman, is also one of the UN young leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to engage young people in the realization of the global goals.
She is the founder of H. A. Digital School and College on her family's land in northern Bangladesh, with the goal of providing education to the rural poor through digital tools.
The school charges a minimal tuition while offering free textbooks, school uniforms and transport.
She received the Commonwealth Youth Award for Asia in 2016. She has also developed a low-cost solar irrigation system for which she was awarded the Green Talent award in 2015.
