Lakshmipur: A young man, who was abducted from the district town six months ago, was found on Lakshmipur-Dhaka Highway in Bagbari area of the district town early Sunday.

Locals found Rakibul Hasan Rocky, son of Tofayel Ahmed, blindfolded on the road early in the morning and informed his father. Later, his family members rescued him.

Rocky said he was kept blindfolded in a small room after abduction with his legs and hands tied up. But the abductors did not torture him. However, he could not say who had abducted him and the place where he was kept.

Earlier Rocky, who used to work in a motorcycle showroom, was picked up by some unknown people from Old Court area in the town on 6 December, 2016 while he was playing badminton.

Later, his father filed a general diary with Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station.

Family members alleged that law enforcers picked him up.
