Enclave people to get priority in recruitment
Lalmonirhat: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Thursday said following the exchange of border enclaves with India, the people of those areas will enjoy priority in the recruitments of police, Ansar and Village Defence Party and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
He said this at a views-exchange meeting at Latamari enclave after inspecting the population count there, alongside the process to confer citizenship on the dwellers according to their choice.
Noting that the enclave people have long been deprived of government jobs, the minister said the priority-based recruitment from the enclaves will start with the next non-military recruitment drive of the BGB, which will begin next month.
Besides, the enclave people will enjoy special quota in the recruitment of police, Ansar and VDP, he added.
The programme was also attended by Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman, Home Secretary Mozammel Haque Khan and BGB director general Maj Gen Aziz Ahamed.
