Dhaka: In another shocking incident, a young girl was reportedly raped by two young men at a residential hotel in at Moghbazar in Dhaka on Friday.

The suspected rapists are Shaon, a student of Tejgaon College, and Niloy, a student of Jagannath University.

Family members of the victim said the girl was staying in a Malibagh hostel as she was taking preparation for university admission tests.

They said Shaon, known to the victim, took her to the residential hotel in Moghbazar area on Friday afternoon and raped her along with his accomplice Niloy at the hotel.

Ramna police officer-in-charge Moshiur Rahman said the victim came out of the hotel at about 8:00pm on the day and informed her family about the incident over phone.

On Saturday morning, parents of the victim came to Dhaka from Jamalpur and took her to the police station from where she was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical test.

A case was filed with the police station this afternoon.
