4-day BD-Nepal expo held in Kathmandu

Dhaka: A four-day fair titled ‘Bangladesh-Nepal Expo 2015’, hosted by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu, ended on Sunday, bringing the people of the two countries close to each other.
Around 10,000 people visited the exposition which was widely acclaimed by the participants and the visitors alike for being the first initiative of its kind organsied by the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu, said a Foreign Ministry media release on Monday.
The exposition consisted of a trade fair which was participated by around 80 business organisations from Bangladesh representing various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, RMG, handicrafts, frozen seafoods, ceramic products, textiles, food and beverage, cosmetics, herbal products, information technology firms, educational institutions, medical colleges, hospitality sector, publishers and 20 organisations from Nepal.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams, Minister for Commerce and Supplies of Nepal Sunil Bahadur Thapa were present at the inaugural ceremony.
They called upon the business communities of the two countries to explore the immense potentials for expanding trade and business relations between Bangladesh and Nepal for mutual benefits.
