Sunamgonj: The bodies of a man and his son were recovered from Tangnir Haor in Dirai Upazilla of Sunamganj on Friday afternoon.

The deceased are Faruk Ahmed Chawdhury, 55, and his son Eksan Chawdhury, 13, hailing from Tarol village of the Upazilla.

Police and locals said Faruk Ahmed Chawdhury went for fishing with his son in a small boat to the Tangnir Haor at about 10:00pm on Thursday night.

The father and son both went missing after a sudden storm in the Hawor area.

Locals found the bodies floating in the Haor at about 2:00pm on Friday.

Dirai police officer in-charge Bayes Alam said, on information, police recovered the bodies with the help of local people.
