Singer Abdul Jabbar hospitalised

Dhaka: Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra singer Abdul Jabbar was hospitalised in a critical condition on Wednesday.
Jabbar was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Babu Jabbar, son of the legendary singer, confirmed the news to NTV Online.
Babu said his father was taken to the ICU on Wednesday afternoon as the physical condition of his father was deteriorating.
Earlier on May 31, Jabbar was admitted at the BSMMU with several physical complexities including kidney and heart diseases.
That time Abdul Jabbar, at an interview with NTV Online, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina donated Tk 20 lakh for the treatment.
Jabbar also said around Tk 80 lakh is needed for his treatment.
During the country’s Liberation War Abdul Jabbar motivated the freedom fighters through his patriotic songs.
Abdul Jabbar achieved Swadhinata Podok and Ekushey Podok for his great contribution.
