Satyajit Ray’s celebrated detective series ‘Feluda’ to hit Bangladeshi TV screens, web

A new television adaptation based on the famous Satyajit Ray character, Detective Feluda, is soon to arrive in Bangladeshi TV screen and as well a web series.
It was announced at a press conference held on Wednesday. Kandy Productions and TOM Creations announced that they have received the rights to work on Feluda from Satyajit Ray’s son, Sandeep Ray. The first season of the series will feature four episodes and the rest of the episodes will be made later in phases, says a press release.
Present at the press conference as the honorable guests were Faridur Reza Sagor, Managing Director, Channel i; and Satyajit Ray’s son and famous film director, Sandeep Ray; Ziauddin Adil, CEO of Top of Mind; Syed Gousul Alam Shaon, Managing Director of Grey Advertising Bangladesh Ltd; Farha Naz Zaman, Head of media operations, Grameenphone, Managing Director of Adda Times Rajib Mehra along with other top officials from Top of Mind and Kandy Productions.
The four stories that the episodes will be based on are Sheyal Debota Rahasya, Ghurghutiyar Ghatona, Golokdham Rahasya, and Gangtokey Gondogol. In this Eid, Channel i is going to telecast Sheyal Debota Rahasya and Ghurghutiyar Ghatona. The viewers will also be able to watch this in Bioscope platforms in Bangladesh and in Adda Times from outside Bangladesh, after the TV telecast. In this series, popular actor from Kolkata- Porombroto Chatterjee will act in the role of famous Feluda, while Riddhi Sen will act as Topse.
