Dhaka: The very first three-dimensional (3D) animation series based on children’s adventure story in Bangla is on the drawing board as the trial of ‘Chacha Bahinir Ajob Kahini’ has been released on Youtube channel.

Animation means joy and moving to another world, animation means the smallest people are laughing and crying out. But, if anyone tries to find out any suitable animation film for children in Bangla will not get much, reports the UNB.

Keeping this challenge in mind, a team of creative people came forward to make a 3D animated adventure series in Bangla language exclusively for children, and ‘Chacha Bahinir Ajob Kahini’ is the first of its kind.

Maverick Studios plans to introduce children classics, including fairytales of Bangla literature to the new generation.

‘Buckle up! Chacha is ready to take your kids to a fascinating world of Bengali folklore, mythical creatures and breathtaking adventures. We are working on creating the first ever 3D animated series in Bangla that will help children develop critical thinking, empathy and an appreciation for the rich heritage of Bengali culture,’ the studio said in its project webpage.

‘…get ready for the adventure of a lifetime-on the wings of Chacha’s fascinating stories, Jhumjhumi and Babu travel to a fantastic world of exotic creatures, magical realms and exhilarating conquests.’

‘Our new attempt is to fill the lack of good Bangla content in the animation world,’ it said in its Facebook page.

Wahid Ibn Reza, a Bangladeshi filmmaker working with Sony Pictures Imageworks in Vancouver is the creative producer of the project.

Wishing Shubha Nabarsha to everyone through Facebook, Reza said, ‘Personally, I have long been trying to create some contents in Bangla for our future generation. Especially after coming abroad, many Bangladeshi parents were desperately desperate to teach their children Bangla.’

The cost of animation production is prohibitive, he said adding, ‘And it is not possible for us to finish the production financially for a studio alone. Then we decided we would do crowd funding.’

Therefore, he urged everyone to come forward to share the expenses of the film.

‘Be a part of a historic project. Play your part in bringing this series to life!’ the makers of the animation said to encourage people to provide them with funds for the first three episodes of the series.
