Sara Ali Khan trolled for short clothes but her response is epic
Looking at Sara Ali Khan's queen-like confidence, it is easy to tell that she has royal blood. She is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, who was formally anointed the 10th Nawab of the erstwhile princely state of Pataudi in 2011.
In a recent interview, Sara was informed about an Instagram user who took a dig at her lineage while attacking her short clothes. ‘Nawab gareeb ho gaye kya?’ the troll commented on one of her pictures. But if you thought that she was angry or offended by the remark, you are wrong.
Sara was left in splits. ‘Hahahahaha! He is too funny. Nawab gareeb ho gaye kya?! That's hysterical!’ she laughed, reports the indiatoday.in.
The actress, who made a smashing debut in Abhishek Kapoor's romantic drama Kedarnath, expressed gratitude for the fact that trolls had not been too brutal with her. ‘I have to say, though, that I haven't been trolled very badly. And I'm really thankful.’
According to Sara, trolls have been kind to her because she has always ‘said it like it is’. She said, ‘I didn't choose na to be born to my parents. Maine thodi kaha tha? Main kya, main toh bachchi hoon. Meri galti nahi hai. I love them and I am thankful for them but I didn't choose them. And that's important to remember.’
While Sara admitted that she comes from a position of privilege, she said that one should not let the advantage that comes with it go to waste. ‘If one starts thinking about that so much and gets so bogged down and so stressed, then you are doing the biggest disservice you can to everyone out there who doesn't have that advantage,’ she said.
Sara elaborated, ‘Ek toh tumhe advantage hai, tum yahaan pohoch gaye ho, abhi tum yahaan baithke bologe, 'Itni aasaani se mil gaya. Haaye, I'm a victim', aur phir uss advantage ko aap use bhi nahi kar rahe ho. What an idiot are you?!’
