President to enjoy movie ‘Fagun Haway’ on Friday
Dhaka: President Abdul Hamid is going to enjoy actor-turned director Tauquir Ahmed’s new film ‘Fagun Haway – In spring Breeze’, which was produced based on the 1952 Language Movement.
The President is scheduled to inaugurate the opening show of the film at Bangabhaban on Friday (February 15) when he will watch the movie.
Managing director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar, its director and head of news Shykh Siraj, members of the Board of Directors of Impress Telefilm and invited guests will attend the inaugural programme, reports the UNB.
The movie will also be released in theatres on Friday.
“The story will not only cover the incidents of 1952 but also focus on love, humanitarian issues and comedy,” Tauquir said, adding that the audience will love it.
The film director also said the movie will entertain the audience as the story is very common to all. “It took a lot of time and hard work (to produce the movie).”
“The story of the movie is very humourous. There’re many comic contents in it,” he added.
The movie is being distributed by Ovi Kothachitra.
The film’s poster has been opened by Bipasha Hayat and Amin Khan in presence of all artists of the movie. The trailer and songs were released last year.
Actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha plays the lead role with newcomer Siam. Renowned actors Abul Hayat, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Roonak Hasan, Faruque Ahmed, Saju Khadem and Shahadat Hossain are also part of the movie.
The film is produced by Impress Telefilm and inspired by Tito Rahman’s ‘Bau Kotha Kao’ short story based on the Language Movement.
Tauquir made his directorial debut with ‘Joyjatra’, a 2004 film based on the Liberation War.
