Websites use my songs without asking permission: Shuvro Dev

Dhaka: Popular singer Shuvro Dev has claimed that songs of many local singers are being pirated through YouTube and other websites violating the copyright law.
Besides, he brought allegation against a video streaming website — bongobd.com
‘Several organisations have been uploading our (musicians’) songs and music videos on various websites without our consent. I can tell you about one particular website bongobd.com that has uploaded many of my songs and music videos. They have done this without my permission which I strongly denounce’, Shuvro Dev told NTV Online.
He further added, ‘I will legally face this as they have violated the copyright law. The copyright of a song belongs to only us — lyricist, composer, and singer. Anyone else wants to use the song must get our permission first. So, those are using our songs without our consent should better stop it right now. I would suggest them to abide by the copyright law. I think they don’t have adequate knowledge about the copyright issue.’
However, Shuvro Dev has started working on his new album. He will release an album — Diamond Collection — featuring his popular songs. Music lovers will be able to listen to the songs on digital platform besides audio CD.
