In line with many Bangladeshi actors who have been featured in Indian movies — mostly in Kolkata based Bangla films — Nirob is going to make his debut in a Hindi film titled ‘Bala’. Indian actress Kavita Radheshyam is co-starring Nirob in the film.

The film ‘Bala’ will be directed by Bollywood filmmaker Faisal Saif. Recently, Faisal Saif has talked to NTV Online about his forthcoming horror film, and what made him choose Nirob for the movie.

Why did you choose Nirob for your film?

Faisal Saif: I was looking for a face, which is cute and handsome at the same time. I came to know Nirob thorough one of my journalist friends. Later, I brought the plot of my film to Nirob. He liked the story and agreed to work for me.

Did you watch any Bangladeshi film?

Faisal Saif: I watched some of them a long time ago, but I can’t recall their names right now. But, the films were amazing.

Did you watch any Bangladeshi film that cast Nirob?

Faisal Saif: I have watched some of his films’ trailers. Specially, I must say, Game.

Nirob will be a fresh face to Bollywood. For Indians, Nirob is a stranger. Don’t you think your decision of choosing Nirob for your film might be chancy?

Faisal Saif: Filmmaking is a risky business. There are many gifted actors in Bangladesh such as Nirob. I would like to work with talented Bangladeshi artistes in future. If you say Nirob is a newcomer for Bollywood films, look at Hrithik Roshan. He is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood, but even his films flopped at the box office. So, I’m not considering it a risk.

Do you know any other Bangladeshi actors apart from Nirob?

Faisal Saif: I know Shakib Khan, Momo and others. They are doing well.

What does Kavita Radheshyam think about Nirob?

Faisal Saif: Kavita is also excited about Nirob. She believes Nirob will give his best in the film. ‘Bala’ will also feature another top actress. The film will have two female lead roles.

Would you mind tell us her name?

Faisal Saif: I don’t want to disclose it right now. It will be a surprise for Bangladeshi audiences. Her name will be made public before the filming begins. The filming will start on 19 September.

Do you think Nirob can meet your expectations in the film?

Faisal Saif: I have hundred per cent confidence in Nirob. He can do it.

Are you interested to direct Bangladeshi films if you ever get a chance?

Faisal Saif: If I get opportunities, I will certainly make film in Bangladesh. But, it will not be a big budget film.
