Dhaka: ‘Oggyatonama’, a film directed by Tauquir Ahmed and produced by Impress Telefilms, has gone on to win the Special Mention accolade in Religion Today Film Festival on 15 October. 

Posting from his personal Facebook account, he expressed gratitude to all his team members for the honour they received in Italy’s Trento.

It was also the first film to premiere at Festival de Cannes, at the Marché du Film, a commercial platform for directors and producers from around the world to screen their films, the first Bangladeshi film to do so.

He also informed that a special screening of the film will be held in Rome on 17 October in honour of the expatriate Bangladeshis, before returning to Dhaka on 18 October.
