Dhaka: Debutant director Amitabh Reza Choudhury vented his anger at the piracy of his blockbuster film ‘Aynabaji’.

In a Facebook post, Amitabh said, “No one wanted to sponsor the film before making it but I along with my team worked hard to produce it. We released it taking a high risk. Even we didn’t arrange any premier for the film. Our main campaign was to bring the audience back to cinema halls.”

He said the film got pirated although its digital partner Robi assured of protection against piracy.

Cyber criminals have pirated the film after it was released on digital platform. They have recently posted the film on an online platform illegally violating the cyber law and copyright law. 

Meanwhile, followers of Amitabh expressed sympathy to the director.
Asif Iqbal, a follower, said, “You'll keep on rocking. We all learn from mistakes.”

Rumman Mahmud said, “Don’t say bye, brother. You’ll come back strongly. That’s your capability, I know it.” 

On the other hand, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) urged all to help them arrest the perpetrators. 

Aynabaji is produced by Content Matters Ltd in association with Half Stop Down Ltd, with the story and script written by Gousul Alam Shaon, CEO of ad firm Grey Bangladesh, and Anam Biswas.

The cinematographer of the movie is Rashed Zaman while Iqbal Ahsanul Kabir edited the movie and Shahidul Islam performed as the art director.

Arnob, Fuad, Habib and Chirkut Band contributed the background score. 

Prominent actor Chanchal Chowdhury, newcomer Nabila, a former television presenter, and renowned singer Partho Barua acted in the film. 

The film was released nationwide on September 30.
