Dhaka: Bangladeshi actress, director and playback singer Meher Afroz Shaon, also the wife of late Humayun Ahmed, filed a case against an US expatriate and video blogger Bunty Mir on charges of circulating offensive posts against her using the social networking sites. 

The case was lodged under Information Communication Technology (ICT) Act with Dhanmondi Police Station, officer-in-charge of the police station Abdul Latif told news agency BSS on Sunday. 

A general diary (GD) was earlier filed to this end. 

In the case details, it was alleged that Bunty has been spreading ugly, false, and baseless rumours about Shaon through social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube. The accused also threatened to kill Shaon.
