Bangladesh film actress Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur, better known by stage name Shabnur, has been entertaining the people of the country for a long time. Though she has not been appearing on large screen in recent times, she wants to introduce herself in the film world as a director.

Shabnur received the membership of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association (BFDC) few days ago.

In an interview with the NTV Online, Shabnur said as a director she is now working on the story of her first film.

Though she did not confirm the actors for her new film, she said ‘Cast will be selected based on the characters in the film.’

About location, Shabnur said, “As I want to make the film based on a story of Bangladesh, the shooting spots will be selected according to the story. There are many beautiful and amazing locations in our country. If there is no need, I do not want to shoot abroad.”

Responding to a question when the work for the film will start, Shabnoor said ‘I cannot fix any date due to the current unrest in the country. Even my portion of acting in some films has not been finished. So, the work for my first film as a director will begin after the situation of the country improves.
