Gazipur: Two people, including a woman, were killed and three injured as a bus knocked down a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Nayanpur on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Sreepur, Gazipur on Friday morning.  

One of the deceased was Adbur Rashid, a resident of Faridpur village.  

Witnesses said a BRTC bus coming from Netrokona crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Nayanpur at about 8:30am, leaving two people dead and three others injured on the spot.

The injured were whisked off to a local hospital.  

Police rushed to the spot and seized the bus.  

Maona Highway Police officer-in-charge Helal-ul-Islam confirmed the incident.
