Dhaka: Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will observe the National Film Day on Sunday.

They have scheduled elaborate programmes for the day.

A colourful rally will be held on the BFDC premises in the morning.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will inaugurate the rally, reported UNB.

Cultural Affairs Minister Assaduzzaman Noor , member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Ministry Sukumar Ranjon Ghosh and Information Secretary  Mortuja Ahmed will be present on the occasion.

A seminar will be held at BFDC. A cultural function will follow the seminar.

The whole programme will be aired on ETV. 

Meanwhile, Shilpakala Academy has chalked out eight-day programmes to celebrate the day.

National Drama and Film Department of Shilpakala Academy in association with Bagladesh Film Archive will arrange an exhibition of the posters of the Bangla films, still photography and replica of prominent film personalities at its premises at about 5:00pm.

A discussion and a music show of famous film songs will also be held at Shilpakala Academy on the day.

The National Award winning films will be screened in the International Digital Film Archive of National Dance Gallery of Shilpakala Academy from 4-10 April.
