Dhaka: Jannatul Nayeem has been crowned title of Miss World Bangladesh 2017 and will represent Bangladesh in the upcoming 67th Miss World beauty pageant.

The grand finale of Lovello Miss World Bangladesh was held at the Noborattri Hall of the International Convention City in Dhaka's Bashundhara on Friday.

The 67th edition of the Miss World pageant will take place on 18 November 2017, at the Crown of Beauty Theatre at Sanya, China.

The top 10 in the finale were Jannatul Nayeem, Rukayia Jahan, Zara Mitu, Sadia Iman, Touhida Tasnim, Miftahul Jannat, Sanchita Dutta, Farhana Zaman, Jannatul Himi and Jessica Islam.

The judges were Bibi Russell, Jewel Aich, Shampa Reza, Rubaba Dowla Matin, and Sonia Bashir Kabir.

Artists Hridoy Khan, Prottoy Khan and Anika performed at the finale. The top ten beauties danced and lip synched to their music on the catwalk. Bangla film actor Nirob also performed at the finale.

Anchored by Sheena Chohan, International Television Channel Limited (NTV) telecast the grand finale of beauty pageant live.

NTV Director Mahbuba Sultana spoke as a guest in the competition. She said, ‘Our girls are truly Miss World.’

Antar Showbiz and Omicon Entertainment brought the franchise of Miss World Bangladesh and organised the beauty pageant for the first time in the country. The title sponsor of Miss World Bangladesh was Lovello.
