Dhaka: Bangladesh's dashing opener Tamim Iqbal warmed himself up well hammering a century in a warm-up game against Pakistan ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Tamim witnessed nine boundaries and four over boundaries off 93 balls, before being caught by Junaid Khan off Shadab Khan bowling at 219/3 in 33.1 overs.

He completed his century taking a single runs off Shadab Khan's bowling in the innings 31.5 overs when the Tigers collection was at 213 for 2 wickets.

Besides his individual show, Tamim shared a praiseworthy innings of 142 in 20.2 overs with experienced Imrul Kayes in the 2nd stand after the dismal departure of Soumya Sarkar at 27/1 in 6.1 overs.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in their 1st warm-up match ahead of the Champions Trophy.

Bangladesh will face India in the 2nd warm-up match at Kennington Oval in Londo on Tuesday (May 30).

Bangladesh will face host England in the opener of the Champions Trophy in their Group A match at Kennington Oval in Londo on June 1.
