Pabna: Three people were killed as a pickup van plugged after hitting a tree on the Dhaka-Pabna Highway in Dulaibazar area of Sujannagar upazila in Pabna on Friday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. However, it has been believed that they were employees of Palli Biddut Shamiti. The bodies were taken to Highway police station.

The Madhabpur Highway police sergeant Mohammad Shahid said a Dhaka-bound electric material-laden pick up van skidded off the road and hit the tree as its driver lost control over steering at Sujanagar upazila at about 8:00am, and left three including the driver of the vehicle dead on the spot.
