Dhaka: Netherlands Ambassador to Bangladesh Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere on Wednesday met Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday.

The meeting was held at the BNP chief’s Gulshan office in the afternoon.

BNP leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Reaz Rahman and Asaduzzaman Ripon were present at the meeting.

BNP sources said various issues relating to mutual interests of the two countries, Bangladesh’s current political situation, and the 136th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference concluded here today came up for discussions at the meeting.
